“Cast Away” workshop brings together actors, casting directors and filmmakers.

FuelFilm:Memphis invites local actors and filmmakers to participate in our “Cast Away” workshop.
Speakers will include local casting directors and talent agency representatives who will discuss
the casting process and best practices for both filmmakers and on screen talent. The main event
will be an organized casting session where participating filmmakers will present projects they
hope to cast and participating actors will have the chance to read for a variety of parts. In
addition to the chance to land a part, or cast a role, the exposure between the filmmakers and
local on-screen talent pool will be invaluable for future local film productions.

Filmmakers who would like to cast a part should email their contact information, a short
description of their project and up 8 pages of “sides” (two or three scenes from your script) to
castaway@fuelfilm.org by July 8th.

Actors may bring headshots and resumes but it is not required, and aspiring actors are welcome. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.
